The reviews are in for season 2 of Netflix's Florida Keys drama Bloodline, and they are mixed overall.

Season 2 of Bloodline was released Friday with a reduced run compared to the first season. While season 1 had 13 episodes, season 2 only has 10, making the overall arc for this year a bit tighter.

As for the quality of the second season, there are a variety of opinions. The Hollywood Reporter was not a fan of season 2, noting that the first episode feels "exponentially long," and the second episode isn't much better, stating, "Getting through a second one was also a chore but had enough ridiculous signs of where Bloodline was going this time to be enough evidence to bail right then and there."

The A.V. Club felt similarly sour on this season, comparing this second season to an "overlong epilogue," adding, "If you think a slow-motion car crash is hard to watch, try watching the slow-motion clean-up."

Luckily for fans, the reviews are not all critical. Indiewire heavily praised season 2 due to not being bogged down by the "wonky" timeline leading up to Danny's (Ben Mendelsohn) death, making for a more unpredictable experience.

"In Season 2, those notes feel all the more relevant, personal and edge-of-your-seat thrilling because we have no idea what's going to happen next," they wrote.

As these reviews allude to, season 2 picks up in the aftermath of Danny's death, with John (Kyle Chandler), Meg (Linda Cardellini) and Kevin (Norbert Leo Butz) still doing their best to keep the truth secret. Season 2 also sees the introduction of three new characters that complicate the Rayburns' lives. Danny's son Nolan (Owen Teague) shows up, as do Danny's friends Ozzy Delvecchio (John Leguizamo) and Evangeline (Andrea Riseborough).

All 10 episodes of Bloodline season 2 are available to stream now.

There's no word on whether a third season of Bloodline is coming.
