Even in the Outlander world, there are some men you just can't get over. For Laoghaire, that man is Jamie Fraser.

It's been a hot minute since Jamie's (Sam Heughan) Castle Leoch admirer nearly schemed Claire (Caitriona Balfe) right to her death, and, in the interim, Nell Hudson's character has moved to Lord Lovat's (Clive Russell) Beaufort Castle. The Frasers (and viewers) received a shock Laoghaire she waltz backed into the picture, but the fair-haired devil managed to emerge from the run in with no more than a verbal lashing.

After all, she played the contrite apologetic quite nicely. Too bad she didn't really mean it.

"I think that she is genuinely striving for humility and penitence, and most of all forgiveness," Hudson told TV Line. "I think she does mean it in the beginning. She's fully in earnest, asking for forgiveness in the beginning of the episode."

By the end of the episode, however, Laoghaire had a slight change of hear.

"It's just that her love for Jamie never [goes away]," Hudson explained. "I do think there's a transformation that happens in the episode... When she sees him again and is thwarted by Claire, it's a bit of a slap in the face. It's a bit like, 'Screw it, all this hard work and piousness.'"

For now, however, Jamie and Claire 'shippers can put Laoghaire from their minds. The character doesn't even appear in Diana Galbaldon's Dragonfly in Amber, and her season 2 appearance was a one off.

"I didn't shoot any other episodes, no," the actress confirmed.

If Outlander snags a third season, expect to see Jamie's wannabe paramore re-enter the fold as the Voyager storyline unfolds.
