The Flash's Carlos Valdes is helping fans make sense of the finale's big ol' cliffhanger.

Flashpoint is the buzzword of the day, but, in the wake of Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) little trip down memory lane, cast and writers alike have yet to invoke the name of Geoff Johns' iconic work.

Will the Scarlet Speedster suddenly find himself powerless in an entirely new timeline? Is saving Nora Allan really the linchpin that throws Earth-1 into chaos? No one can confirm or deny the current speculation, but Valdes (Cisco) believes the season 3 premiere will throw fans for a loop.

"I know for a fact that season three is going start in a very unexpected place," Valdes teased at MegaCon, according to Monkeys Fighting Robots. "I think fans are going to be a little discombobulated, but the payoff is spectacular."

How discombobulated, you ask? Valdes didn't elaborate, but The Flash could hit viewers with any number of twists in the opening moments of the premiere. Diving head first into an altered time stream would certainly leave fans scratching their heads, as would starting the year with a flashforward to the season 3 finale.

"That's going to be very interesting to find out, isn't it?" John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen/Jay Garrick) said of the series' step towards Flashpoint, according to Entertainment Weekly. "That is the exact question that we want left in the minds of our audience members when the curtain comes down on our finale."
