Back in 1997, thousands of people from Phoenix witnessed arguably the most prominent mass sighting of an unidentified flying object in the clear Arizona sky. Though official statements later stated that the lights from the UFO were flares dropped by the military, many remained convinced that the source of the mysterious lights that night was not man-made at all. Thus, the event became known as the Phoenix Lights incident.

Though the real facts behind the 1997 incident would probably never be revealed to the public, the incident nonetheless became one of the most famous mass UFO sightings of all time. One of the most notable aspects of the sightings were the aircraft that was allegedly seen in the event, which was described as triangular in shape.

A recent incident on Highway 46 seems to add credence to the 1997 sightings, however, as a Florida driver inadvertently bore witness to the same type of UFO as he was driving in Nevada. The driver, a man from Florida, was able to film the incident for a short while before the mysterious, triangular lights vanished.

According to the driver, the UFO was moving before it began hovering in one spot. After filming the mysterious object, the mysterious aircraft vanished.

What is particularly interesting about the recent sighting is the fact that the UFO spotted by the driver seems to be the very same type of UFO spotted in Arizona more than 19 years ago. Indeed, the pattern of the lights, as well as the unmistakable V-shape of the aircraft, are very similar in nature.

Of course, the video has incited different receptions from UFO aficionados, with some stating that the lights proved that the same type of aliens visit Earth multiple times and others stating that the lights were simply reflections in the sky.

Others, however, allege that the lights, as well as the seemingly V-shape of the UFO's frame, was proof that the U.S. military is engaging in reverse-engineering alien technology. For decades now, the Pentagon has been accused of taking technology from UFO crash sites in order to strengthen the U.S. military. Of course, these allegations have never be proven.

Whether the Florida sighting was real or not is up to speculation. However, the sheer number of UFO sightings across the country over the last few decades seem to indicate that we are not alone in the Universe after all.
