Pop singer Selena Gomez performed her new song Come & Get It for the first time ever at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

The track is off of Gomez's upcoming album, set to release this summer. An audio teaser for the Come and Get It was released on Ryan Seacrest's website on April 6, eight days before Gomez was scheduled to perform the track at the MTV Movie Awards.

"You got the kind of love that I want, let me get that/ And baby once I get it, I'm yours; no take-backs/ I'm gon' love you for life, I ain't leaving your side," she sings. "Even if you knock it, ain't no way to stop it / Forever you're mine, baby, I'm addicted; no lie."

Kim Kardashian presented Gomez to the stage on Sunday. The singer recently returned to recording music but for some time focused on her acting career. She starred in Spring Breakers alongside Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and Gucci Mane. The film was released in theaters in the U.S. on March 22.

The 20-year-old singer said about her single, "With Come & Get It I wanted to create something fun, sassy, and playful, but unexpected. The song is almost tribal. It's going to surprise people in a good way."
