After searching for almost 18 hours, there is a breaking news report that says local law enforcement and wildlife officials have found the body of a 2-year-old boy who was dragged into the lagoon by an alligator near the Grand Floridian resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando on Wednesday.

According to CNN, the body was found intact, despite the alligator dragging him into the water at approximately 9:30pm on Tuesday night. Eyewitnesses say that the boy and his family, who were visiting the theme parks from Nebraska, were watching a movie along with other hotel guests near the resort's beach area, where the young boy was waddling in the water next to his father. The alligator snatched the boy and dragged him in the water. The father had even tried to wrestle with the alligator.

"Everyone here at the Walt Disney Resort is devastated by this tragic accident," said Jacquee Wahler, a vice president at Walt Disney World Resort. "Our thoughts are with the family. We are helping the family and doing everything we can to assist law enforcement."

Alligators are quite common in the area and even though the man-made lake near the Grand Floridian (which is also connected to the Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney), sightings are quite common. There are also visible "No Swimming" signs posted near Disney's multiple beach areas, although some critics believe visitors and guests should also be better warned about the possible dangers of alligators wading in the nearby waters as well.
