Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to Fox's The X Factor when it returns for season 3 this fall, but her co-host Mario Lopez will.

A spokesperson shared the update to E! News: "Khloé Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

The source also said that it didn't have anything to do with her personality.

"Everyone on the show had a great relationship with her and thought she was fun to work with," said the insider.

Meanwhile, Lopez shared his excitement about his return in a statement.

"I'm looking forward to returning to The X Factor team," Lopez said. "We're coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent."

The show's creator, Simon Cowell said he is "thrilled" to have Lopez back.

"I'm thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges-especially Demi-in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back."

Enstars reported that Fox announced on Mar. 30 that Lovato would return to the judges' table for  season 3 and the singer shared her excitement in a statement.

"I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor," Lovato said. "Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!"

Spears reportedly quit The X Factor USA after just one season in December because she learned that she would not have been asked to return for Season 3.

"Spears was not going to be asked back and so she will not return for season three," a source toldThe Hollywood Reporter at the time.

Enstars reported that Destiny's child band member Kelly Rowland is reportedly in talks to replace Spears in season 3.

Rowland, 32, who appeared in UK's version of The X Factor in 2011, is said to be "most definitely in the mix" for Fox's hit singing competition reality show when it returns to air on the network this fall.
