We could be in for a predictable week on Big Brother 18 unless one insurgent plan comes to fruition.

Head of Household: Paul Abrahamian

Other houseguests: Bridgette Dunning, Corey Brooks, Da'Vonne Rogers, James Huling, Michelle Meyer, Natalie Negrotti, Nicole Franzel, Paulie Calafiore, Victor Arroyo and Zakiyah Everette

When the live feeds returned from a blackout Thursday night, it was apparent that Paul had won the Head of Household competition. Very soon after, Paul was talking about targeting Bridgette and discussing possible pawns to nominate next to her. As Paul stressed to Paulie at one point in the evening, he really wants Bridgette out in the same way that Paulie wanted Tiffany out (to an almost unhealthy extent).

Paul's attempt at prompting volunteers to go up as pawns didn't exactly go over well, with Victor saying he didn't want to risk it considering he was already evicted, and Nicole completely refusing the idea on principle. Corey and Paulie were more receptive to the idea, but also suggested Natalie as an easy pawn considering she doesn't have many allies so it wouldn't do much harm.

James stressed to Paul that he shouldn't put up Natalie, with Natalie ultimately becoming upset about possibly being used as a pawn like she was in Week 4. Players like Corey, Nicole and Paulie weren't exactly thrilled with Paul's unwillingness to put up Natalie, and later all volunteered as pawns.

Meanwhile, Paulie tried to pitch his own target for the week: Da'Vonne. Paulie made several aggressive attempts throughout the night to get Paul to nominate Da'Vonne, but Paul wasn't having it. Paulie changed his approach and suggested nominating her after the Veto is used, to which Paul ultimately agreed.

However, Paul directly told Da'Vonne that she's not in trouble this week, so it's looking like Paul will stick to his guns in getting Bridgette out. If Bridgette wins Veto, however, things could get very complicated.

Big Brother 18 returns Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
