Paulina Gretzky is not letting the haters insult her lover.

When the model's fiance, Dustin Johnson, announced his withdrawal from the Olympics, he explained his decision and how it came about. Posted in Monday's report from The Big Lead, this is what Johnson had to say for himself:

"This was not an easy decision for me, but my concerns about the Zika virus cannot be ignored. Paulina and I plan to have more children in the near future, and I feel it would be irresponsible to put myself, her or our family at risk. I believe I am making the right decision for me and most importantly, my family. While I am sure some will be critical of my decision, my hope is that most will understand and support it."

The golfer then wished the best for those participating in the Olympic games this year.

Johnson was right when he said that he would receive some criticism. When Gretzky posted a photo of herself with her fiance on Instagram as they spent a lovely day outdoors, social media users wrote some harsh comments, including one that says, "DJ should be at the Olympics that is more important than winning in the US Open to have a gold medal for your country shame on you Shame Shame Shame."

I got 99 problems but you won't be one @djohnsonpga

Gretzky then responded to all the haters by defending Johnson and really letting others have it.

"Listen here you hating pieces of s-it trolls," the model wrote. "I'll say it once he didn't work his a-s off his entire life for a gold medal he achieved his MAJOR and let everyone else do what they need to do and leave my fanf-ckingtastic man alone."
