Jessica Alba embraced an unconventional method of getting back her flawless bikini bod post pregnancy.

After the birth of her second daughter, Haven, in 2011, the actress looked for a way to shed the pounds. Apparently the corsets that Keira Knightley was dying to get out of in past roles can be embraced as a weightless technique.

"It was brutal; it's not for everyone," Alba told Net-A-Porter. "I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it."

According to Celebuzz, Alba paired the corsets with a strict diet and exercise. Although the routine sounds rigorous and uncomfortable, it's hard to argue with the results.

After marrying Cash Warner in 2008, Alba went on to have their first daughter Honor the same year and Haven in 2011. However, with appearances in such films as Machete and the upcoming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Alba's acting career hasn't slowed down in the least.

In addition to her on screen work, Alba founded The Honest Company, which distributes eco-friendly products for babies, and recently released a book, The Honest Life, according to the Daily News.

However, Alba still recognizes that she and her husband need sometime to themselves. The couple recently took a vacation without the kids.

"It was our first trip in six years that wasn't for work. I didn't realize how important it was until we got home and I was like, 'We like each other; we really are best friends,'" Alba confided to Net-A Porter.

Alba will feature in this fall's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
