Naruto Shippuden Episode 472 has just aired, and with it came the last breaths of fan favorite Obito, who was mortally wounded by Princess Kaguya in the previous episode. While most fans of the long-running anime were a bit split about the episode due to a number of flashbacks and what-if scenarios, the next episode's preview has so far been unanimously received well.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 473 Preview

The preview for Episode 473, titled The Sharingan Revived, is rife with scenes that are undoubtedly epic. For one, while Obito's tragic fate was sealed in Episode 472, Episode 473's preview seems to suggest that he would still play a part in the battle.

This was seen in the final scene of the preview, where Kakashi was shown to finally sport not just one, but two Sharingans. With this, the battle against Princess Kaguya could only get a lot more compelling and interesting. After all, with Obito practically giving Kakashi his life as a parting gift, the latter would surely fight like never before.

Plus, fans are eager to see Kakashi fight with two Sharingan for the first time. In the manga, his fighting prowess was greatly enhanced by Obito's parting gift, and he eventually summons his own Susanoo, something which has never been seen before.

The End of Princess Kaguya?

What is particularly interesting about the preview, however, is that one of the scenes featured Sakura punching Princess Kaguya in the head. For those who have read the manga, this scene practically heralded the end of the battle against the seemingly unbeatable chakra user.

Before the heroes would be able to beat Kaguya, there would be a pretty difficult battle they have to fight first. Nevertheless, in the manga, the final acts of the battle against the Princess were among the finest action scenes in the entire Naruto franchise. Thus, it would be very interesting to see if the anime can do the epic battle justice.

Animation Issues

However, one thing that has fans worried is the quality of the animation in Naruto Shippuden Episode 472. During the course of the episode, there were a number of scenes where the animation was below par. Plus, a number of frames in the Episode 473 preview were also poorly drawn and animated. With this, many fans are a bit apprehensive if the next episode, which will probably depict one of the most important battles in the entire series, would be handled with as much effort and care as it deserves.

Naruto Shippuden will air Episode 473, The Sharingan Revived, Thursday next week.
