Pokémon GO is undoubtedly a worldwide phenomenon, with millions upon millions of active players grinding away on the streets as they attempt to catch them all. As with any game, however, Pokémon GO has had its fair share of cheaters.

While Niantic has been pretty vigilant about catching cheaters of the game, the popularity of apps that are designed to make Pokémon GO easier to play has been very notable. One of the most prominent ones was PokeVision, an app that tracks Pokemon in nearby areas.

Just like other tracking apps, however, Niantic has recently shut down PokeVision, leaving Pokemon GO players with no way to track the monsters that are spawning in their area. Fortunately, another app has emerged to fill the void left behind by PokeVision - FastPokeMap.

While FastPokeMap has some drawbacks when compared to the highly popular PokeVision, it does manage to offer a number of nifty features for players of the hyper-popular augmented reality game.

For one, FastPokeMap has managed to evade Niantic's efforts recently, making it a very viable alternative to PokeVision. Just the fact that the Pokemon tracking app is still up and running says something about its developer.

Apart from this, FastPokeMap also includes a feature which indicates how long a Pokemon would stay in a certain location. This means that players could easily avoid wasting time, especially when Pokemon spawn in areas for only a limited amount of time.

However, this does not mean that FastPokeMap is a perfect tracking app. One look at it's the tracker's official Twitter page and one can see the numerous stability complaints from the app's users. Just like Pokémon GO when it was first released, FastPokeMap seems to be bogged down by too many users trying to access the application.

Also, FastPokeMap has a significantly smaller radius compared to PokeVision. Thus, the area where players can peak into is a lot smaller.

Nevertheless, with PokeVision probably gone for a pretty long time, FastPokeMap more than gets the job done.
