American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson recently spoke on the rumors that the upcoming sixth season will have to do with famed serial killer Charles Manson.

American Horror Story fans are desperate to learn what the sixth season of the show will be about, and the show's cast and crew have remained tight-lipped. With only a few weeks to go before the season 6 premiere, the concept still remains under lock and key.

One theory some have come up with involves Manson, the 1960s serial killer who developed a murderous cult of followers. The theory includes such evidence as co-creator Ryan Murphy saying in 2013 that "we might go back to the Manson thing in some regard one day." There's also the new spidery poster for season 6, which some are connecting to Manson's newfound love of spiders while in prison. Then there's the fact that a new Evan Peters Instagram post features the actor sporting a thick beard and wild hair that looks similar to Manson's.

However, all of this evidence is apparently for nothing, as Paulson just shot down the whole concept.

"Wrong! You can look me dead in the eyes. You are wrong, dead wrong," Paulson told Entertainment Tonight when asked if Manson is the concept for season 6. "And you will see that I am not lying to you. I'm not pulling a little Jedi mind trick. You're wrong!"

American Horror Story has frequently made references to and even depicted famous serial killers and notorious villains from history, including the Black Dahlia, Jeffrey Dahmer, Aileen Wuornos and Madame Delphine LaLaurie. As such, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for the show to include Manson at some point in the future.

For now, it looks like fans of American Horror Story will just have to wait for season 6 to arrive in mid-September before they can find out the new concept.

American Horror Story season 6 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
