A shocking power outage has engulfed General Hospital and sent everyone into a panic, but the true danger of the situation could be faced only by two of the occupants of the building-Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Hayden (Rebecca Budig).

As the outage occurred, Elizabeth was taking the stairs to go to her car so she could then head to the police station and turn in Hayden's (Rebecca Budig) diamonds. However, after the outage happened and a spooked Elizabeth dropped her bag, someone came up behind her and pushed her-sending her down the next flight of stairs before she became unconscious at the bottom of them. Now, Franco (Roger Howarth) will discover her body as he tries to find her to let her know what he learned about her and Hayden actually being sisters.

"Elizabeth?" He calls out in a preview clip for the Tuesday, August 30 episode.

Even if he is able to rescue her though, it's still unclear just who pushed her and put her in danger. Hayden had a clear motive because she wanted to keep Elizabeth from sending her off to jail for the rest of her life for hiding the diamonds from federal officials for so long, and could have pushed her in the hopes that doing so would stop her from going to the police.

However, someone else also had a motive for pushing Elizabeth as well, after they believed that she saw them with the evidence needed to prove they were the serial killer lurking around the hospital-DA Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi).

He was convinced Elizabeth saw him with a syringe in his hand and was determined to stop her, so he may have pushed her down the stairs as well. However, he may no longer feel threatened by her when he runs into Hayden, and she possibly sees the evidence as well. And when Paul seems to warn her not to be there, she too could realize she's in grave danger.

"It's not safe to be running around with the power out," Paul warns in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
