Naruto Shippuden episode 475 ended with Naruto and Sasuke preparing to fight each other leaving fans waiting for the results of the all-important battle. Episode 476 will most likely prove to be well worth the wait, especially with an hour-long show.

It is rare that an anime as long-running and prolific as Naruto Shippuden would forego a couple of weeks' worth of airtime in order to focus on the quality of an upcoming episode. As unorthodox as the decision might be, however, that is exactly what the producers of the anime did, and it has please fans very well.

Episode 476 to Run for One Hour

The next episode of Naruto Shippuden, which is set to air on Sept. 29, will undoubtedly be one for the books. With Naruto and Sasuke finally clashing for one final battle, the stage is set for the long-running anime's ultimate climax. For fans of the anime, the hour-long episode would be the culmination of many years' worth of waiting.

The Naruto Shippuden manga actually ended a few years ago, but due to Studio Pierrot's intention to extend the anime as much as possible, the original story of the manga got buried inside multiple filler arcs. Eventually, however, the anime started losing viewers, simply because dedicated Naruto Shippuden fans simply opted to read the manga and wait for the anime to shift back to canon.

The Final Battle to be Worth the Wait

The anime eventually did shift back to canon, and a few months after, the end of the long-running series seems to be in sight. One thing stands out pretty well, however, and that is the fact that the anime seems to be getting special treatment from Studio Pierrot after a very long time.

During the preview for the one-hour special episode, the producer of the anime opted to portray the featured scenes like a manga. Many were beguiled by it, but the consensus among Naruto Shippuden fans is that Studio Pierrot is spending a good deal of money in producing the Sept. 29 installment.

The final battle between Naruto and Sasuke in the manga is easily one of, if not the best fight in the entire Naruto series. If the signs are right and Studio Pierrot is indeed putting extra effort into the production of the episode, Naruto fans will finally be rewarded what is due.
