He killed her in order to keep the truth about his being the hospital killer a secret, but now, as the guilt consumes Paul (Richard Burgi), he will confess to Sabrina's murder on General Hospital.

After Tracy (Jane Elliott) overhears him apologizing to Sabrina's photo at her memorial service and asks him what he's sorry for, he tells her he killed Sabrina, and will insist that he is the reason Sabrina is now gone and so many people are mourning the loss.

"I'm the reason Sabrina's dead," he says in a preview clip for the Monday, September 26 episode.

However, not realizing the enormity of the confession Paul has dropped on her, Tracy will misinterpret what he actually means, and think he is blaming himself in his capacity as the District Attorney, and faulting himself for Sabrina's death because he has been unable to find the killer and lock them up.

Meanwhile, his secret also led to some other recent activities that will land him in trouble if the truth about them gets out. When Ava (Maura West) learned he was the killer, she used the information to blackmail him, with the condition that he find some way to get Julian (William DeVry) acquitted of conspiring to murder Duke, murdering Carlos, and trying to murder Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Though he wanted Julian locked up, Paul knew he had no choice but to accept Ava's terms, and went through with it by making the evidence against Julian inadmissible in court, and the charges against him were all dropped.

Now, Sonny (Maurice Benard) wants revenge because Julian walked, and will inform Jason (Billy Miller) that when he learns who managed to make it so Julian could escape prison time, he will make sure they pay for the crime they have committed.

"That person needs to pay," he says in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
