Fans are still waiting (and getting no word) on the 29th season of The Amazing Race, but despite the lack of information on when the season will air on CBS, it appears there's no reason to fear the show could be canceled, as they are already making plans to cast for season 30.

According to the show's casting website, they are currently looking to cast the teams for a season that will tape sometime between October 2016-January 2017, which would be the 30th season, as season 29 filmed earlier this year.

If the producers are working on a 30th season, then it is a positive sign that CBS has not pulled the plug on the show, so there is no need to fear it being canceled. However, it isn't the kind of news that will help eager fans who are still waiting to find out when season 29 will actually make it to air.

Phil Keoghan, the show's host hasn't been able to give fans the encouraging updates on social media that they may hope to hear about when the show would air either unfortunately, responding to tweets with his regrets that he doesn't have any new information, and trying to provide helpful suggestions for how fans can fill the void they feel the show has left behind.

"Hey @PhilKeoghan when is @AmazingRaceCBS returning? I miss it!" One fan asked.

"Not soon enough...hang in there, I'm hearing you," he responded.

He also wrote to another fan that he was confident the show would be on again soon, even if he wasn't sure of a date.

"@PhilKoeghan Phil, what night and date will the new Amazing Race be coming on?" The fan asked.

"A date called not soon enough :)," he wrote."Hang in there our time will come @NoOppWasted."

He also tried to give a fan who said they were going through withdrawal out by sharing a suggestion of how they could get their fix of the show while they waited for the new season to air.

"I need @AmazingRaceCBS back in my life!! It's been too long since season 28! @PhilKeoghan," the fan wrote.

"How about a #bingewatching weekend have you seen every season? #AmazingRace, he wrote.

CBS still has not given the show a date.
