The iMac lineup update was released by Apple last October 2015, and fans are dying to know more about Apple's latest computer. Many people believe that the computer will have some big changes, but some also think that major renovations on the model are highly unlikely.

According to Mobile &Apps, it can be expected that Apple will be using Intel-based CPUs for the iMac 2016 version while the chances of using Kaby Lake chips is much more unlikely. It is already known that AMD won the contract for the graphic chips and it is still possible that iMacs could have Polaris set of AMDs. Polaris graphic chips offer higher speeds compared to other graphic chips available in the market. It also has lower power consumption which could help bring a higher resolution for gaming applications.

It was also speculated that iMac will probably have VR capability. If this is true, this will be the first time in the history of iMacs. With the use of Polaris 10 and 11, the VR experience can be vastly improved.

Another most talked about addition to the model is the fusion drives which become the default storage. Many current users of the computer agree that if this is true, this will be one of the best features in the model. There are also rumors that claim that the new iMac will have flash storage as its storage standard which allows it to read and write at better speeds.

Meanwhile, iTech Post said that iMac 2016 will have a 5K display resolution which is an improvement of the existing 4K display feature. This feature will not only come in the iMac 2016 but it is also rumored to be present in the new Apple MacBook Air 2016.

Fans are expecting more updates from Apple soon and some even think that the computer will have an October release date. As of writing, Apple is yet to give official statements on the specs and the release date of iMac 2016.
