Niantic's new update introduces random spawn points and now blocks cheaters on Pokemon GO. While this development in the hyper-popular augmented reality game was quite expected, it does, nonetheless, provide a number of interesting changes to the mobile title.

One thing that players of Pokemon GO have noticed in Niantic's latest update is the fact that massive changes have been implemented in the game's spawning nests. According to a Forbes report, Pokemon GO's spawning nests have now been completely randomized.

This means that since the recent update rolled out, players would start noticing that Pokemon nests in their areas would not be showing the same species. Thus, those who were used having Eevee nests close to their homes might start noticing that the nest now spawns huge numbers of Kabuto, or any other Pokemon.

What remains unchanged, however, is the rarity of the Pokemon that spawn from a certain nest. Thus, if a player used to have a nest that spawns a Dratini, for example, that player would notice that the nest spawns a completely different, yet equally rare monster.

Apart from the randomized spawning nests in the game, Pokemon GO has also embraced an even more strict anti-cheating policy since the last update. Niantic has recently rolled out a new feature to the game that uses the same type of technology as NFC wireless payment systems. Called Safety Net, this new feature is capable of analyzing a player's device, ensuring that it is not tampered with.

With the utilization of Safety Net, avid Pokemon GO fans who play the game on devices that are either jailbroken or rooted would not be able to access their game. This is not the end of Niantic's efforts towards banning players who use modified devices, however.

As of now, any account for any version of the game below 0.39 will see the 'update' button in-game and will be unable to do anything but walk (without egg or candy reward) until they update. Any user playing with an automatic system will be flagged as they proceed to move in the game without updating, and a later set of bans will be enforced. Soon," an anonymous source stated, according to Slash Gear.

With the implementation of Safety Net, and with the game constantly evolving, Pokemon GO is quickly becoming a very well-rounded game.
