Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are headed for what is expected to be a messy split and as they prepare to divide their assets, including their cash and their many properties, fans are wondering how much the actor and his actress wife are worth.

As many may suspect, Pitt is worth substantially more.

As of this week, Celebrity Net Worth is reporting Pitt's net worth at a whopping $240 million while his wife, Jolie, is said to be worth $160 million, also according to Celebrity Net Worth. So, together, the soon-to-be-divorced couple is worth an estimted $400 million.

Pitt and Jolie began dating 12 years ago, but they were only married for 2 years prior to Jolie's divorce filing on Sept. 19, which will make their split a bit easier.

"This is significant because it means that any money earned by either Brad or Angelina in the last two years alone would be communal property and would therefore be split 50/50. So it's not like there's a decade's worth of earnings that needs to be split," Celebrity Net Worth explained in another report.

According to the report, Pitt likely made a bit more than Jolie during their marriage due to his transition into a producer. However, Jolie also made a fair amount, likely about $45 million. Meanwhile, Pitt is believed to have brought in $75 in the past two years.

"One major challenge will come when they set out to split up their vast real estate portfolio. The Jolie-Pitts own a massive chateau in Miraval, France, multiple homes in Los Angeles, a $5 million home in Santa Barbara that sites on 11 acres and a $6 million New Orleans mansion," the outlet continued. "All told, the property portfolio is worth an estimated $60 million."
