A show's cancellation can be inevitable. "Bloodline" will end its story after Season 3 as what was already confirmed by the showrunners.

FX News Call reported that the show had some problems due to Florida's entertainment tax incentives since Season 2. Talking with Variety, showrunners Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler said that they never planned for the show to end this early.

Zelman said that they planned the show to last up to five or six seasons. The vice president of original content Cindy Holland said in a statement that they think that the show creators were visionary story tellers by producing a good show. The statement also commends the cast particularly Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn who have both garnered Emmy nominations for their roles in the show.

In the statement, the VP confirmed that "Bloodline" Season 3 will be the final season for the show and it will be released on Netflix sometime in May 2017. The statement also revealed that the season will have a total of 10 episodes for the fans to enjoy.

Meanwhile, Christian Post reported that "Bloodline" Season 3 will be a darker season compared to the first two. The story is set in Florida Keys and follows the life and secrets of the Rayburn family. Kessler did not reveal anything substantial about the season but he confirmed that it will be "very dark."

Kessler also hinted that the story will revolve around the death of Danny who is played by Emmy award winner Ben Mendelsohn. Danny was killed by his brother John (Kyle Chandler) in "Bloodline" Season 1 and John was seen fleeing the town in Season 2. But John will be returning and fans will learn why.

He added that "Bloodline" Season 3 will also be about how the relationships inside the family will evolve after Danny's death. . In Season 2 a lot of intense cliffhangers were present while in Season 3, more secrets of the family will be revealed.
