Technology has always been ever dynamic. When it comes to things such as computers and the digital age people are living in, it is even more dynamic. Some quick examples would be how phones changed to smartphones. It is also on how we keep expanding our memory from a few bytes to a thousands of terabytes now.

When Wi-Fi was first introduced, it was the next "big" thing considering how it used radio waves to communicate wirelessly without even using much power. Its elimination of the wire made it superb, but now it can be eliminated too.

According to Computer Weekly, Wi-Fi is amazing but it is limited. According to our standards now a single wifi connection can only give speeds up to 500MB to 1Gb per second. Although this sounds like quite a lot of data, it is not for many people today including large companies.

A man named Ali Sadri has been working on a new kind of wireless connection since 2009. This wireless connection, according to Blu Wireless Technology will not only be compatible with more frequencies of radio waves, but it will also be able to pass at least 5GB of information through it every second. This could be the start of something big.

This wireless sytem is called the WiGig - Wi is Wireless as derviced from Wi-Fi, and the Gig is derived from Gigabyte.

The new wireless sytem also offers more capacity. In a place where a wireless router could not support more than a small amount of devices, the WiGig is able to support more connections and all of them can be multiple gigabyte speed connections. It has also introduced a new Tri Band technology which incorporates dual band wifi with WiGig making WiGig compatible with previous machines that are supported on Wi-Fi.

It has a higher capacity, lower latency, better performance, and much much better range. It can basically be said as the upgrade of Wi-Fi.

Not only that, but the WiGig is also keeps up with modern technology, is smaller in size, and is compatible with all devices and not just laptops and computers. It could be the source of wireless technology people use for a very long time.
