After the overwhelming response TLC's Breaking Amish had in its rookie season, the original cast members reunited for last weekend's premiere of Breaking Amish: Brave New World.

The five young adults who were handpicked to venture out of their religious homes are continuing to take on new lives, which has turned out to be fairly uncomfortable for Abe's sister, Katie Ann.

Breaking Amish kicked off with Rebecca and Abe looking to make the trek to Florida to meet with the remainder of the series' cast.

When Katie Ann was willing to join them on the new experience, Rebecca didn't seem to agree with it, according to the Huffington Post.

"Leaving the Amish is not simple.  If you want to leave it's not like, 'Okay, let's go, and I can do anything I want.'  I don't think it's going to work. You're young.  You're way too young.  I just don't think you're ready for it," she expressed.

Rebecca's opinion seemed to spark controversy, considering that she'd already ventured out herself.   However, it could be debated that she was being empathetic to the potential hardships that lie ahead for Katie Ann.

Nonetheless, The Hollywood Reporter stated that "the show's sadness may or may not lift once the group reunites and heads south, but so far it's simply depressing.

TLC's Breaking Amish will next air on Sunday, May 19 at 10/9c.  Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the show.
