Rockstar Games might be having a lot of stress right now as its two superlative games: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 6 are lined up for the upcoming release. While the company has rolled out the first look of Red Dead Redemption 2 already and also has promised to unveil it by the first half of 2017. the next version of GTA  has still been kept behind the curtains. There are several hints which now suggest that GTA 6 might be released in 2020 apart from its earlier expected revelation in 2018.

There are a few reasons which indicate the late release of this successor of GTA 5. Firstly, Rockstar game is known for having a 5-year long interval in revealing any advanced part of its previous versions. According to iTech Post, for instance, GTA 4 was revealed 2008 and its successor GTA 5 say the lights of day in the year 2013. Going through this rage, Rockstar Games can be expected to launch GTA 6 in 2018. But as the company has already confirmed its decision to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2017, it can be easily assumed that Rockstar, going with its traditions, will not entitle the next gen GTA 6 anytime before 2020.

Another intriguing point behind this explanation is that according to potential sources the company has planned to adopt the plot setting of the upcoming GTA saga in some foreign countries. Experts constantly seem to hint for locations like London or Chicago. However, as per a report by GameNGuide, the plot may also be set in Tokyo, as developers indicate to establish the story from a Japanese standpoint.

There are also random speculations which hint that Rockstar is planning to bring female protagonist in spite of its trends developed till now in gaming. GTA 6 might also have a later release because of its developers' quest to make the game more competitive by adding an augmented or virtual reality support. With any or both of these two, Rockstar might be able to beat GTA 5's record-breaking 800-million profit upon its release. Whatever, the reasons might be, the gamers have to wait till any further announcements come from Rockstar Games' end.
