During the midseason finale of "The Blacklist" season 4, more questions are up in the air. The producers of the series, just like the show is, are extremely enigmatic in their answers to certain aspects that continue to puzzle the avid viewers.

"The Blacklist" season 4, midseason finale created more questions, rather than answers. The producers of the NBC series promised that the answer to the biggest question this season would be revealed in the finale, as previously reported by Enstars. However, fans of the show are still not satisfied with the revelation.

Is Reddington really Liz's father?

When Kirk was torturing Reddington, the Russian asked whether the notorious criminal is Liz's true dad. Red said yes and Kirk wasn't as shocked by his answer since he knew that the American criminal had an affair with his wife, Katarina.

The confession is rather dubious since the sincerity of Red when he answered is questionable. At the same time, when he was holding Agnes towards the end of the episode, he did not really tell Liz that he is her father. Even after Liz is surer than ever that her dad is dead.

Is Alexander Kirk really gone?

After Kirk tortured Red, the Russian just disappeared. That is the last time viewers saw him. Has Kirk really left quietly or he will just stay out of radar for the time being and will come back later on to pester Liz and Red again. Besides, Red whispered something in his ear, which viewers will only find out about if Kirk will be back.

In addition, Odette's mode of escape is just too questionable to reinforce the theory that they will no longer be back. It would have been great if it was suicide. However, there was no body found or at least no mention that they found one. Also, Odette threatened Red that she'll come for him.

What will Mr. Kaplan do next?

During the midseason finale, fans saw how Mr. Kaplan's captor freed her. Did he really let her go or was he just playing around?

If Mr. Kaplan is indeed free, will she exact vengeance on Red for trying to kill her or does she have a bigger role to play? Frankly, Red killing Mr. Kaplan is another interesting plot. It would seem that the shooting was planned and Mr. Kaplan knew about it. Did Red give her a task which requires him to fake his anger for her and 'kill' her?

If Red really wanted to kill Mr. Kaplan, how will she take her revenge? Does she have an army to wipe out the most influential criminal in the land?

Who is the mole?

In the video preview for the second half of the show, writers introduced a new question. There is a mole in Liz and Red's team. Who is furious enough at the two to become a mole to bring Red down? If the producers' words are considered and the mole is someone who will surprise viewers, it could be Dembe or Ressler.

Watch the second half premiere of "The Blacklist" season 4 on Jan. 5 on NBC.
