The Originals Season 4 was already confirmed to air after The Vampire Diaries Season 8 finale and many fans are eager to learn what happens with the Mikaelsons. Fans are also excited with the news that some of The Vampire Diaries cast will be joining the spin-off in its new season.

According to Chatt Sports, Nina Dobrev might be featured in The Originals Season 4 but she will not play the iconic role of Elena Gilbert. Instead, it was said that she will play the role of Tatia who is another doppelganger who might be of help to the family considering the circumstance they are in.

Aside from Dobrev, it was said that other cast members from The Vampire Diaries will also appear in The Originals Season 4. It was earlier reported that Candice King who plays the role of Caroline might make an appearance in the show. Caroline and Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, have a romantic history. Will this be their chance to continue the romance that they had to end before?

Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that Daniel Gillies, who plays Elijah on The Originals, shared a photo on his Instagram account. The photo shows him wearing a leather jacket with the word "director" written on the back. It was said that Gillies also directed Episode 10 of The Originals Season 4.

Season 3 ended with Klaus being stabbed with Papa Tunde's knife by none other than Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). The other members of the family were also put to sleep in order to save them from ultimate doom.

Since Elijah and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) were bitten by Marcel and Freya (Riley Voelkel) being poisoned, the family decided that they have to leave the physical world temporarily as Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and her daughter Hope try to find a cure for Marcel's werewolf bite. It was also reported that when the show returns, Hope will be a lot older.

Fans will have to wait a little longer to see what will happen to the family as The Originals Season 4 is scheduled to return on The CW on March 17, 2017.
