Paris Hilton was very accommodating to Sofia Coppola as she made her newest film, The Bling Ring. But the socialite admits that watching the final product did get to her a little.

"I was really emotional watching it," Hilton told New York Magazine at the film's recent Cannes premiere. "During some parts of it, I literally had tears in my eyes and I wanted to cry."

Bling Ring focuses a group of teens who robbed the houses of celebrities, Hilton included, and watching the invasions portrayed on film seems touched a nerve with the socialite. "I knew what happened with the burglaries, but I had never actually seen it - so watching it happen, I was like, 'Oh my God, this really happened to me. These kids were really in my house and did this to me,'" Hilton said. "It's so violating."

Asked if watching the film presented from the teens' perspective aroused any feelings of empathy, Hilton gave a resounding "No way!"

"It just made me really angry and upset, and when I see these kids, I want to, like, slap them."

But there was still one thing in the film that did bring Hilton some joy: getting to see her house onscreen. "I designed everything in the house, so it was really cool to see it on film."

Hilton allowed Coppola to film in her house, and Bling shows the characters indulging in some of the quirks in the home. Hilton's walk-in shoe closet and her "nightclub room," whose design aesthetic comes down to showing Hilton's face on the walls, artwork, and even pillows on the lounge seats.

"That house is like my dream house," she said. "I worked so hard on every detail."

But Hilton insisted the in-house shoots would not have even happened were it not for Coppola's involvement, and her reverence for the director influenced the decision.

"The only reason I agreed to do it at all is because it's Sofia," said Hilton. "I have so much respect for her and I think she's an incredibly talented director.

"If it was anyone else doing this project, I would have said no, or 'You're not coming in my house,' but I trust her. And the movie is amazing. It's so good."
