NVIDIA's release of next generation of GPU architecture is still so far away. But the most awaited NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be the go-to 4K GPU after its launching for this year.

According to PC Games, the upcoming GPU will be lowering the price point of the currently GP102-based GTX Titan X largely because of the minor decrease of CUDA cores from 3584 to 3328.

Just like Titan X, NVIDIA's upcoming graphics card is based on GP102, as reported by WCCFTech.com. But while GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is considered to be a side-shoot of NVIDIA's top two graphics cards. The latest graphics card is believed to have a better balance when it comes to using its full potential.

This is the reason why many tech analysts are choosing their words when comparing GeForce GTX 1080 with AMD's upcoming GPU architecture, Vega. Still, many are keeping their thoughts to themselves about how GeForce GTX 980 Ti pulled its stunt against the supposedly more powerful AMD Fury X.

The upcoming graphics card is reported to be introduced officially to the public in this coming CES 2017. Following are the specifications of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti:

Process: 16nm

Transistors: 12 Billion

Die Size: 471mm²

Memory: 10GB GDDR5X

Memory Speed: 10GB/s

Memory Interface: 384-bit

Memory Bandwidth: 480GB/s

TDP: 250W

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is reportedly going to be released via NVIDIA's new loyalty program called Club GeForce Elite, reported PC World. Club GeForce will be the successor, or expansion of the $8/month program called GeForce Now, which is available only on NVIDIA Shield consoles.

This new monthly program will cost you $2 more, yet subscribers will receive even more benefits. This includes four free games every three months from GeForce app and/or Xbox Live Game, and exclusive in-game items with GeForce gear. But more notably, subscribers will get the chance to have a free GeForce PC on the cloud subscription.

CES (Consumers Electronics Show) is an annual event contributed by tech firms from around the world with an estimated 165,000 people for this year's event. More than 6500 reporters are expected to covert during the event alongside participants.
