The latest Jailbreaking tool that is currently available is the Yalu Jailbreaking tool for iOS 10.1.x. Those who upgraded their iOS versions to the latest one were previously able to downgrade their operating systems by using the Prometheus hack tool.

However, Apple has already patched the exploit used in the hacking tool. It means that users will have to find another way to downgrade their iOS devices.

Over the course of the previous year, user who are into jailbreaking their iPhones haven't really had an easy time in being able to do what they want with their Apple devices. Apple has consistently been releasing big iOS update in rapid succession while also patching up any hacks that aims to undermine their closed software ecosystem.

Hackers and jailbreakers have of course been having a hard time catching up with the constant updates. There is currently still no stable Jailbreaking tool for the latest versions of the iOS operating system and the only way to truly jailbreak an iOS device is to downgrade it to an older version with an available and stable Jailbreaking tool.

Those who were lucky enough to have downgraded and jailbreak their device before the patch might have also noticed some issues with Cydia beta version. Fortunately, a new version of Cydia has finally been released by the hacker named Saurik.

The new Cydia version, Cydia 1.1.28, addresses majority of the problems in the software for the Yalu iOS 10.1.x jailbreak. It fixes the problems involving sudden crashes when respringing and the special character glitch in the package descriptions.

According to WCCFTech, Saurik has mentioned that he is well aware of the other issues and is working on providing new Cydia builds to address all of them as soon as possible. In the meantime, those how have successfully used the Prometheus and the Yalu Jailbreaking tool can download his latest Cydia build to fix the more serious issues.
