Huawei's latest affordable mid-range smartphone, the Honor 6X, is finally now being brought over to the Western markets as the company official presented the device at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event. The smartphone itself is the successor to last year's Honor 5X, which was also unveiled during the same event.

The brand new 2017 Honor 6X still basically offers the same mid to high-end hardware package at an unbelievably low price. With the phone being priced at just under $250, it is one of the most bang-for-your-buck devices currently available in the market.

Some of its features include the dual camera system, fingerprint reader and the aluminum body design. These are usually found in high-end smartphones that cost double or triple that of the Honor 6X.

The new model still retains the same basic design of the Honor 5X. However the materials seem to be more sturdy this time around. The rounded edges and the aluminum body also adds to the premium feel of the new device.

The new Honor 6X also gets a significant boost in performance thanks to the company's own Kirin 655 chipset. The processor is also paired with either 3GB of 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, which translates to quite a performer indeed. Aside from providing more processing power, the new Kirin 655 is based on a 16nm FinFET process, which ultimately translates to great power savings. The device is equipped 3340 mAh battery that can power the device for more than a day of heavy usage.

The Honor 6X comes equipped with a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p IPS LCD display. The main camera setup for the device is a dual camera system comprised of a 12 megapixel Sony camera placed on top of a 2 megapixel Omnivision unit. The front camera on the other hand is an 8 megapixel camera with a 77-degree wide angle lens. Huawei also proudly claims that the Honor 6X is the first phone in its price point to feature a dual camera setup.
