Dell just recently unveiled the latest version of their highly popular gaming laptop, the 2017 Dell XPS 15. The new laptop was officially introduced at the recently held 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and it looks like Dell has been listening to its consumer's feedback as it has added some of the most requested hardware and features.

Some of the issues that were previously raised by consumers for the previous version were mainly with its battery life and its performance. According to Mspoweruser, Dell has apparently resolved these issues with the new 2017 version through the use of the latest processors, graphics cards, and a much better battery pack.

For the specs, the new Dell XPS 15 now sports the latest 7th generation Kaby Lake Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor. The powerful CPU is paired with a large 16GB of RAM. The graphic work is taken care of the latest Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU, which boasts a total of 4GB of GDDR5 RAM. The entire setup should be more than enough to handle the latest video game titles at decent resolutions as well as supply enough horsepower for video and photo editing, as per PC World.

The new Dell XPS 15 also comes with a slim-bezel 15.6-inch display that maximizes the screen's real state. The entire laptop actually looks like a 14-inch laptop, thanks to its ultra-small 5.7mm bezels. The laptop is offered in two distinct variants, namely a 4K version and a Full HD version. The laptops are also offered with a larger 97WHr battery that should offer pretty decent battery life.

Those who don't mind playing their video games on the Full HD variant can pick up the laptop for $1749. Those who prefer the high resolution 4K variant will need to fork out $2,249 to get the 4K display. Dell is expected to come out with watered down versions of the Dell XPS 15 that should be more affordable that the two available models. However, there still isn't any official announcement yet of when they will be released.
