One of the main reasons why actors of hit television shows are paid so much is that their respective roles are vital to the particular series' overall success. However, the actors of one of the highest rated television shows, The Walking Dead, are apparently getting relatively low wages for their work in the series, which is why some of them have now decided to demand for a raise.

Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, the actors behind the characters Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon respectively, have both been getting somewhere between $80,000 to $120,000 for their work per episode. While that amount may be extremely high for mere mortals, it actually pales in comparison to what other actors are getting in other shows, as per Digital Spy.

Some of the biggest paid actors in television right now includes stars from hit comedy, The Big Bang Theory. This includes Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco, who each get paid a cool $1 million dollars per episode. Yes, per episode. Lincoln and Reedus are of course not asking for the same amount, but they are demanding to be paid at least the same amount as the actors on Game of Thrones.

According to a report from The Sydney Morning Herald, both actors are asking for at least $550,000 each for every episode in The Walking Dead Season 7 and $650,000 for Season 8. However, it may be unlikely that the network would give in to their demands seeing as that the nature of their show would easily make them very expendable should the producers choose to go on a different direction.

Currently, most of the main characters in Game of Thrones do get paid around the same amount. Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Kit Harington each get $500,000 per episode. The actors play the roles of Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, respectively.
