Apple is bound to release another family member of its iPad Air series in September or October this year. Dubbed as iPad Air 3, the said tablet is anticipated to be powerful yet a budget friendly device.

According to Tech Radar, The iPad Air 3 might probably be launched along with the iPad Pro 2, which means the tablet might hit the market shelves next few months. As the iPad Pro 9.7 launching in March 2016, a refresh seems to be unveiled around March of this year.

Nonetheless, there are reports suggesting that there have been chip problems which are causing the delay to the iPad Pro 2 launch. With this, respective analyst Ming-Chi Kuo calculates the next wave of iPads will land sometime between April and June. Failing that, the company's patrons might see iPad Air 3 in September or October, as the iPad Air 2 was announced in October 2014 and the tail end of the year used to be when Apple customarily unveiled its tablets.

When it comes with the specs, iTechPost noted that the iPad Air 3 was rumored to have a thinner body, perhaps down to just 5mm. It was also speculated to be powered by an Apple A9X processor, and a pair of enhanced cameras. The new iPad Pro might sport a 12-megapixel camera and it appears questionable that Apple would want to surpass its top-notch iPad Pro by making the Air 3 with a better camera.

An 8-megapixels is, therefore, a good guess when talks about the rear-facing camera. In addition, water and dust resistance were also stated, along with a higher resolution screen. The iPad Air 3 will more likely become available featuring an Apple Pencil, competing with other tablet makers such as Microsoft's Surface range. Lastly, it is also predicted to support 3D Touch technology on a 4K screen.

As for the price, it will also almost certainly feature both 16GB and 32GB choices with prices start roughly at $600 depending on the variant. With the powerful specs and the budget-friendly price, it seems that iPad Air 3 will be a hit with Apple's patrons.
