Fans know that Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) will die at some point in the past on This Is Us and that Rebecca (Mandy Moore) will wind up married to his best friend Miguel (Jon Huertas) as well, and now, Moore is speaking out on the speculation that Rebecca and Miguel could wind up together before Jack passes.

It's been theorized that something could happen to Jack and Rebecca's marriage which would lead to her finding comfort in Miguel before Jack passes on, but Moore doesn't think that's how things will play out, saying at the TCA press tour that she doesn't think there would be overlap between Rebecca's two relationships, though she can't genuinely confirm if there will be or not because even she doesn't know.

"I have a vague idea, but we don't know the specifics," she said. "We never know until we get scripts. We don't know the nuances of things."

"But I think people should have faith in the type of people [Rebecca and Miguel] are and that we would act accordingly," she continued. "In my mind, I've always sort of [assumed] that there's no overlap [between Jack and Miguel]. Hundred percent."

Moore also said that she thinks fans will eventually come around to the idea of Miguel being a part of Rebecca's life in the present day, even revealing that she loves working with Huertas.

"I'm obsessed with Jon Huertas-we all are," she said. "And he is such a good sport about the fact that people are so down on him. I think people have to have faith in Jack and Rebecca, and realize that there's nothing untoward that happened."

She also admitted that fans may start to come around to Miguel sooner than anticipated, stating that an episode that will air later in the first season will let fans see a different side to Miguel that they may appreciate more.

"I know, in particular, in episode 15, for me, I walked away from the script going, 'If people aren't in love with Miguel at this point..." She teased.

This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
