OnePlus 5 is said to be one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2017. While it was earlier reported that the flagship with the killer features may be release at the end of the second quarter, however, it is now rumored that the Chinese smartphone Manufacturer might now decide to officially launch the phone as early as April.

According to PC Advisor report, OnePlus fans can expect OnePlus 5 to hit the marketshelves in May or June 2017. Nevertheless, several reports which were published since then claim that the company may actually be planning an April launch. OnePlus 5 is actually OnePlus 4. The company is said to skip the number "4" because it is not considered as a good number in the Chinese tradition. This is the reason why another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo, has also decided to skip the release of Vivo V4, and directly jumped to Vivo V5 after the release of Vivo V3.

The OnePlus 3 was a total hit in 2016 with its Snapdragon chipset and 6GB RAM. Its successor, the OnePlus 5 is reportedly to have the latest Snapdragon chipset and an even bigger RAM. The upcoming device is supposedly powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will have an extra 2GB of RAM for a total 8GB.

Other features that is said to be included in the upcoming phone is the Dash Charge feature, which is definitely a huge improvement and up to 126GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy's 8 Edge has mentions a curved aluminium body and a 5.5in display for the upcoming flagship from OnePlus. In upcoming OnePlus 5 the Camera will be 22 MP rear one and 8-MP front-facing camera with autofocus laser feature. Device will boast a 4200 mAH battery capacity.

The OnePlus 5 release date is supposed to be the latter half of 2017. Report says that the release has something to do with the Snapdragon's 835 availability. However, other recent reports suggest an April 2017 launch, following the unveiling of most flagships happening this March at the Mobile World Convention (MWC) 2017.

However there has been no official information is there from the company regarding OnePlus 5 specs, features and release date. The price also remains unconfirmed, though, most reports point at a possible retail price of $480.
