The highly awaited successor to Ferrari's F12 Berlinetta is finally here, in the form of the oddly named 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast. The brand new vehicle will be a bittersweet offering from the Prancing Horse brand as it is expected to be the final naturally aspirated V12 engine-equipped product from the company.

With that being said, the company is offering the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast with a ludicrous new 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that generates a whopping 789bhp. With that amount of power on tap, the new vehicle's name will start to make a whole lot of sense.

According to Top Gear, the new engine is 60hp more powerful than the 6.3-liter V12 engine found on the outgoing F12 Berlinetta. The 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast has also been revealed to be the most powerful series production Ferrari, ever.

For those who are interested in the car's official figures, the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast will be able to reach 62mph from standstill in just 2.9 seconds. The vehicle has also been announced to reach a maximum top speed of around 211mph.

Being a modern Ferrari, the new 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast is also offered with loads of new racing tech features. The vehicle is equipped with Ferrari's electric power steering and a new four-wheel-steering system. Ferrari has also included their fifth generation Side Slip Control (SSC) technology into the vehicle for additional over-the-limit control.

The overall design is an evolution of the F12 Berlinetta, but with the addition of several aerodynamic aids that includes active flaps and vents that manipulate the air to generate more down force. The interior has also been upgraded to be more up to date with some redesigned instrument clusters and panels, as per a report from The Drive.

Ferrari has yet to announce some of the new 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast's features, but the company will officially be unveiling the new supercar at the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show slated to take place early next month. The vehicle is expected to be priced somewhere close to $400,000.
