Ed Sheeran is set to go on a 48-stop tour of North America to support the launch of his album "Divide." The tour will kick off on June 29 at Kansas City's Sprint Center and will end up in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 6 this year.

The verified Fan Software of Ticketmaster will power all the pre-sales for Ed Sheeran's "Divide" Tour to ensure fans get their hands on the ticket. Pre-sales of the tickets will be from March 13-16, while ticket sales for the general public is scheduled on March 17.

Grammy winner Ed Sheeran's "Divide" album was a resounding success, according to Billboard. The third album carries the single "Shape of You", already a chart topper in the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks. "Castle on the Hill", the album's second single, already made it to the Top 6.

Thanks to the album "Divide", Ed Sheeran has become the first artist in the last 58 years, to have made it to the Billboard Hot 100 with two singles. The album also hit the one billion mark for YouTube views two days after it was released.

Ed Sheeran unveiled the tour dates for his "Divide" album during his stint at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. The "Thinking Out Loud" crooner also dropped the song "How Would You Feel", another possible hit from the album ahead of its release.

The official video for "Castle On The Hill" gave Sheeran's fans a closer look of his growing up days, as it was filmed in Framlingham, Suffolk. Incidentally, the names of Ed Sheeran's albums showed a fascination for mathematics, either for him or whoever decides his album names. His first two albums were the symbols for multiplication and addition, and the third one "Divide" connotes division.

Ed Sheeran will hit Canada and the United States for his "Divide" tour, according to Bandsintown. The tour will be an important event for his fans considering that he will play the various tracks from his three albums. Many are, however, preparing for the grand finale of the tour in Nashville, anticipating an appearance from Taylor Swift.
