In the interview, Araki stated that he was a big fan of the manga. Apart from this, Araki also shared his views on what fans can expect to see in "Attack on Titan" season 2. He also shared his thoughts about "Attack on Titan" season 2 rumors about the human faction's uprising against the titans.

Moreover, Araki stated that the team developing "Attack on Titan" season 2 is one of the best teams he has worked with, and hoped to see a renewal of the "Attack on Titan" anime for a season 3. Araki also feels confident in his staff and thinks that the second season would be even better than the first.

He also voiced his happiness when some of his favorite characters made it out "alive". What this means is not fully understood to those who don't read the manga. Araki went on to say that there was a particular scene in "Attack on Titan" season 1 that he wanted to direct. However, he also expressed his disdain when "Attack on Titan" season 2 got delayed by four years. According to him, Ymir and Krista would have major parts to play in season 2, and would include some highly animated scenes. He also shared that the story would focus on these two characters for some time.
