Jack Porter's priorities focus more on revenge than any start of a romance with childhood sweetheart Emily Thorne when season 3 of the ABC drama Revenge airs in the fall, actor Nick Wechsler revealed.

The television star recently spoke to TV Guide about his character and what viewers can expect to see when the new season begins.

During the season 2 finale Emily revealed that she is really Amanda Clarke. Moments earlier Jack's brother, Declan, died as a result of an explosion at Grayson Global that was setup by Conrad Grayson. Jacks aimed a gun at Conrad, planning to kill him, but put it down after Emily's big reveal. Viewers are left wondering the extent of his anger, how it plays out in season 3, and if he will finally get together with Emily now that he knows her true identity.

Talking about what to expect on the series, Wechsler said Jack will have more important things on his mind than a romance with Emily.

"I don't think they will have them get together romantically, and if it happens, it'll be further into the season," he said. "This poor [guy] lost his dad, his dog, his wife, now his brother ... it's going to be the fire under his vengeful a--."

In a May interview Wechsler said Jack will have a hard time trusting Emily in season 3, and that she will have to work hard to prove that she is not someone that will backstab him. Emily is engaged to Daniel Grayson, part of the family he believes is responsible for his wife's passing and now for the death of his brother.

Emily has to "earn his trust back," the actor said, and if they do team up "it's only because they have a common enemy, not because she's out of the doghouse."
