Lindsay Lohan's stint at the Betty Ford Rehab clinic wasn't as positive as the troubled young actress made it out to be in late May.

Sources told Perez Hilton on Thursday that the reason for her recent transfer to the Cliffside Malibu clinic wasn't because it's better suited for the 90-day program Lohan was assigned to fulfill. The reason she was transferred is allegedly because she was causing too much trouble at the Betty Ford clinic.

"Lindsay skipped group therapy, she refused to go for several days," the source revealed. "She thought people were giving out information on her. That was her excuse. She was making life hell for those around her every day. Betty Ford is thrilled to see her go."

The 26-year-old actress recently completed the first 30 days of her 90-day mandated rehab sentence at the Betty Ford clinic. The judge in her case granted the transfer to the new Malibu clinic on Wednesday. The actress was causing trouble with Betty Ford's staff, according to the source.

"Lindsay was demanding her Adderall, which she was not given. But she kept demanding it and was highly disruptive," the source said.

Cliffside Malibu clinic CEO Richard Taite said on Friday that Lohan is leading a destructive path.

"Given her numerous arrests and convictions, any sober person would be motivated to stop their destructive behavior," Taite said. "But addicts don't think that way. She is walking a slippery slope, and if she doesn't get help soon, she will, in all probability, seriously hurt herself or someone else... There are only so many bullets you can dodge before you get hit. The train is about to come off the track and a train wreck isn't that far off."

Taite added that the actress is "in denial" and "out of control, having no idea where she is "in the arc of her life."

Lohan will be making her first post-rehab appearance at the premiere of her new film The Canyons at the Venice Film Festival in August.
