Selena Gomez And The Weeknd Split After 10 Months, Justin Bieber Is Likely To Blame

It's official. Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have parted ways after just 10 months of dating.

On the heels of numerous hangouts between Gomez and her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, the "Bad Liar" singer has parted ways with her fellow musician, who was allegedly okay with her spending time in Los Angeles with Bieber as he tended to his Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour.

“The Weeknd doesn’t think Selena talking to Justin again is weird at all. He doesn’t care,” a source previously told Us Weekly magazine, who confirmed the couple's split on Oct. 30.

After Gomez and Bieber began spending time with one another at their homes in Los Angeles, rumors began swirling in regard to Gomez's impending split from The Weeknd. Then, after it was confirmed that The Weeknd had unfollowed Gomez's mom and friends on Instagram, news of their breakup was made official.

Ironically, just hours before Us Weekly's report was shared, Hollywood Life shared a report claiming that Gomez's friends and family members were concerned that Gomez would dump The Weeknd and returned to her previously troubled relationship with Bieber.

“Her friends and family are not convinced that they are just going to remain as friends. Most feel that she is going to break up with The Weeknd and go back with Justin,” an insider revealed to the outlet.

Many are “scared that she will be hooking up with Justin again if she hasn’t already,” the insider added.

According to the report, several members of Gomez's friends and family reportedly reached out to The Weeknd prior to his split from Gomez and urged him to intervene before it was too late. No word on whether or not those people were the ones who The Weeknd unfollowed on Instagram over the weekend.

“Justin was her first love and her friends and family are convinced that he is going to try to court her again and everyone is worried that she will be in a relationship with Justin by the New Year,” the insider said.

As fans have seen, Gomez and Bieber have been spotted with one another on numerous occasions throughout the past week and a half, starting with a sighting at Gomez's Studio City home. Then, this past weekend, the on-again, off-again couple were seen grabbing a bite to eat at a cafe in the Westlake Village before heading to a church service at Zoe Church in Los Angeles.
