Everybody Hates Chris star Terry Crews is not only speaking up about his encounter with an agent that sexually assaulted him, he's taking legal action as well. Crews has filed a report to the LAPD recounting the incident that occurred and the LAPD are now officially investigating the actor's claims.

Crews alleges that the incident occurred last year at a party and that the suspect 'groped' his privates in front of his wife. Adam Venit is allegedly the perpetrator responsible for the assault.

"Jumping back, I said, 'What are you doing?!' He just grinned like a jerk," Crews wrote in a tweet.

Venit is a WME agent that represents celebrities such as Adam Sandler, Diane Keaton, Eddie Murphy, Kevin James, Rob Lowe, Russell Brand, Shawn Levy, Steve Martin, Sylvester Stallone and Vince Vaughn. Ironically, he represents Dustin Hoffman and Brett Ratner who have also been accused of sexual misconduct. Venit has been put on leave from his agency following Crews' claims.

Crews was a former pro-football player before retiring in 1997 and becoming an actor. Crews has since starred in Friday After Next, White Chicks, and the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet?

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor elaborated further in his tweet about why he waited so long to speak on the incident.

"I decided not 2 take it further becuz I didn't want 2b ostracized- par 4 the course when the predator has power n influence," continued Crews. "I let it go. And I understand why many women who this happens to let it go. Who's going 2 believe you? ( few) What r the repercussions?(many) Do u want 2 work again? (Yes) R you prepared 2b ostracized? (No). I understand and empathize with those who have remained silent. But Harvey Weinstein is not the only perpetrator. Hollywood is not the only business we're this happens, and to the casualties of this behavior- you are not alone. Hopefully, me coming forward with my story will deter a predator and encourage someone who feels hopeless."

Venit now joins producer Harvey Weinstein and several other notable men in Hollywood that have been accused of sexual assault. The allegations began after an expose article was written about Wenstein back in September of this year.

Crews did state that Venit apologized for his behavior towards the actor but is still seeking justice because he must be held 'accountable' for what he's done.
