Emilia Clarke portrays the ferocious and strong-willed Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO series Game of Thrones. The show has received widespread acclaim since the premiere of its first season.

While it has been regarded as one of the most popular shows that's out right now, it has also received harsh criticism for its representation of women and the graphic sex/rape scenes depicted throughout the show.

The actors and actresses of the show have all spoken against the slander the show has received over the years, but now Clarke is making it known that everyone needs to simply "get over it." Clarke brought up the subject in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar and commented on how the remarks in regards to the sex scenes on the show "annoyed" her.

"I'm starting to get really annoyed about this stuff now because people say, 'Oh, yeah, all the porn sites went down when Game of Thrones came back on. I'm like, 'The Handmaid's Tale?' I f****** love that show, and I cried when it ended because I couldn't handle not seeing it. That is all sex and nudity. There are so many shows centered around this very true fact that people reproduce. People f*** for pleasure-it's part of life," she states.

Mother Of The Dragons

Clarke has been on the show since the first season. Her character, Daenerys, was married to the powerful warlord Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) by her brother, Viserys (Harry Lloyd). In the first season, Daenerys was shown to possess a very timid personality, however, after learning the ways of Drogo's people, Daenerys grew stronger and now, six seasons later, is a force to be reckoned with.

Clarke's portrayal of "The Mother of the Dragons" has also received high praise and earned the 5'2" beauty several Emmy nominations.

Clarke also starred in the films: Me Before You, Terminator: Genisys, and Dom Hemingway. The English starlet will be in Solo: A Star Wars Movie, which is a standalone Star Wars spin-off that will be based on the character Han Solo. She also made special appearances on the shows: Robot Chicken and Futurama.

Game of Thrones will return for its final season in either 2018 or 2019.
