After teasing fans with news that he's working on an album last year, Eminem has announced when his new LP, Revival, will drop.

'Revival' Release Date

Eminem fans have been waiting for official news about his upcoming album since it was first reported that the rapper would be releasing his ninth studio album soon. Their wishes have finally come true as the "Rap God" hitmaker has revealed that it will arrive in just over two weeks on Dec. 15.

Revival is a follow-up to Eminem's 2013 album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, a sequel to the rapper's 2000 titular album and the winner of Best Rap Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Fake Pharmaceutical Marketing Campaign

Dr. Dre announced the big reveal on social media on Tuesday, Nov. 28, using the same fake pharmaceutical marketing campaign that has featured on billboards and tweets over the last few months.

The video features a pharmaceutical rep named Trevor who has also appeared in several other ads for the same medication. He can be seen dressed in a white polo shirt and glasses, talking about how Revival can be used to treat fictional illness called Atrox Rithimus.

He first revealed that Revival is not the name of a pill or a tablet but the name of Eminem's new album before announcing the LP's release date.

This is the final culmination of a crazy promotional campaign that even had an actual website devoted to the fake drug and now, the highly awaited album now has a release date.

'Walk on Water' Single

Fans already heard one song from the upcoming album as Eminem dropped the single, "Walk on Water," earlier last month. His latest single features Beyoncé and even performed the song with co-writer Skylar Grey on Saturday Night Live along with a rendition of "Love the Way You Lie" and "Stan."

The rapper also belted out the collaboration with Queen Bey at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 12.

Anti-Trump Freestyle

At the 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards, Eminem also took aim at Donald Trump in a freestyle rap that blasted the President's policies, opinions as well as his supporters.

"This is his form of distraction/ Plus, he gets an enormous reaction," he raps in the freestyle. "When he attacks the NFL, so we focus on that/ Instead of talking about Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada/ All of these horrible tragedies and he's bored and would rather cause a Twitter storm with the Packers."
