Dwayne Johnson is having an incredible week. Days after announcing that he's having a baby, the actor has received one of Hollywood's most prestigious honors.

Johnson Honored With Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Johnson has joined a legion of popular celebrities who have their names embedded in the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard. The pro wrestler-turned-actor was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

"Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame," producer of Walk of Fame ceremonies, Ana Martinez, told Variety. "We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans."

He received the 2,624th brass star in the presence of two beautiful women: his pregnant girlfriend Lauren Hashian and their almost two-year-old daughter Jasmine.

"You don't have success alone. You don't do it alone," he said at the unveiling ceremony. "It takes a team so I'm so grateful right now to recognize a few people in my life and it is just a few and they are here who without them there would be no me."

He also expressed his gratitude to the crowd and his screaming fans for their continuous love and support. "At the end of the day, all this goes away if it weren't for you," he added.

Super Honor For A Superstar

If there's anyone who deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's Johnson. The actor has worked incredibly hard to be where he is right now. After a stint in college football, Johnson pursued a career in professional wrestling and become an 8-time World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment champion as The Rock.

The 45-year-old made his lead acting debut in 2002's The Scorpion King. After which, he went on to star in films like 2006's Gridiron Gang, Disney's 2007 film, The Game Plan, and the 2010 family comedy, The Tooth Fairy.

There was no stopping Johnson after he earned a recurring role as Luke Hobbs in the action-packed Fast and Furious franchise. Then, he went on to star in some major blockbusters.

His film credits include Baywatch, San Andreas, and the Oscar-winning animated feature, Moana. He also stars in the HBO series, Ballers, and his upcoming film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, arrives in theaters on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

His roster of films releasing next year includes the action film Skyscraper and Rampage, a sci-fi film based on the classic 1980s video game of the same name.

Johnson is also one of the highest paid actors in the industry. He was also named the most popular actor on social media with a combined 167 million followers across all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
