Kyle Richards has been starring alongside her older sister, Kim Richards, for the past seven seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but ahead of season 8, Kim walked away from the show.

While Kim's role on season 8 had been up in the air for months, Kyle recently confirmed that her sister would not be seen in any capacity during the upcoming episodes of the Bravo TV reality show.

“You know, she's got a lot of stuff going on in her personal life,” Kyle said during a chat with Entertainment Tonight at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere party on Friday night, Dec. 15.

“She, I think, didn't want to do that … maybe it's a little too intense, so she's happy doing what she's doing right now,” Kyle added.

During the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kim was accused of being under the influence of something by her co-star, Lisa Rinna, and later admitted to taking her former's husband's pain medication. From there, Kim was arrested twice, once for public intoxication and resisting arrest and another time for stealing.

“It is weird,” Kyle continued to say about filming the Bravo TV show without her sister. “You know, we started it together and even though we fought, we're sisters and I love her. There's nothing like having your sister there with you, even if you're fighting -- that's your blood, so it's like, it was kind of weird at first.”

Kyle also said that there were a number of times she wanted Kim to be around for filming but her older sister didn't want to rejoin the cast.

Although Kim is staying away from the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she has been spending plenty of time with her sisters, Kyle and Kathy Hilton, and regularly shares photos of her children including Whitney, Brooke, Kimberly, and Chad. She also shares plenty of images of her grandson, 1-year-old Hucksley.

In addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 8 being without Kim, Eileen Davidson will also not be seen. As fans may know, the soap star announced she would not be part of the show in June.

To see more of Kyle Richards and her co-stars including Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, and Camille Grammer, don't miss the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 8 on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
