The 2018 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival this spring is going to help commemorate New Orleans' 300th birthday with an all-star cast.

Music Legends Assemble

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has an incredible group of music legends that are expected to perform at the music festival.

Aretha Franklin, Aerosmith, and Sting have taken the New Orleans event's headliner spots. Other music luminaries that are expected to perform at the festival include American Idol judge Lionel Richie, Jimmy Buffett, Charlie Wilson, and Smokey Robinson.

Jack White's Latest Festival

Another significant performer that will take the stage is Jack White. White will join Franklin, Aerosmith, and Sting as this year's headliners.

The former White Stripes front man is also expected to perform at Atlanta's Shaking Knees Music Festival from May 4 to May 5 and Boston Calling Music Festival on May 26. White will also headline the Governor's Ball Festival in New York City on June 1 through June 3 with Eminem, Travis Scott, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

White is scheduled to release his latest studio album, Boarding House Reach, on March 23.

Superstar Artists In New Orleans

In addition to the headliners, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival revealed that numerous recording artists have scheduled appearances at the iconic festival.

New Orleans natives Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue will play the festival before heading to perform at Napa Valley's The 2018 BottleRock Festival. Tony and Grammy-winning performer Leslie Odom, Jr., is also scheduled to perform. The New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival would be Odom, Jr.'s second significant performance following his cover of "America The Beautiful" at the Super Bowl LII.

Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real and Sturgill Simpson are scheduled to represent country music at the festival. Iconic musicians including Aaron Neville, Anita Baker, Bonnie Raitt, and Jerry Lee Lewis have also been added to the festival.

Other Music Festivals

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is not the only music festival making national headlines.

Beyoncé, Eminem, and The Weeknd will headline the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Other artists that are expected to perform include SZA, Haim, Post Malone, Vince Staples, Miguel, and Cardi B. The festival will take place during the weekends of April 13 to April 15 and April 20 to April 22.

Eminem is also scheduled to share the 2018 Firefly Music Festival headliner bill with Kendrick Lamar and the Killers. The lineup for the Dover, Delaware festival will include Portugal. The Man, Cheat Codes, Alt-J, and Lil Wayne. The festival is expected to take place on June 14 through June 17.

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is scheduled to take place on two weekends: April 27 to April 29 and May 3 to May 6.
