While hit '90s shows and films are in talks of getting a reboot, it only makes sense for the sitcom Martin to be in the conversation. One of the stars of the show, Tisha Campbell-Martin who played Gina Waters, has revealed whether she’d be on board.

Gina Waters: Back Like She Never Left?

Martin (portrayed by actor Martin Lawrence) and Gina were the epitome of a '90s couple. We might be seeing them on the small screen together again.

Lawrence's real-life fiancé recently posted on Instagram that the show is possibly making a big comeback. As for Campbell, she opened up about the possibility of reprising her character.

Hip Hollywood caught up with Campbell while she was at The Millennium Dance Company. She couldn’t hold back smiles and laughter when asked about the return of the sitcom.

“I can’t tell you,” said Campbell with giggles in between.

She was surprised to hear that Lawrence’s fiancé had already shared the news in the world of social media.

“Let me tell you something, it has been an honor to be Gina all these years,” added Campbell. “It’s surprising that people still love those characters so much. So….”

She broke back into a smile and reiterated that she couldn’t spill any more news. Still, she might have already said enough. She added that this brief interview was the first time she had been asked about the show’s epic return.

Martin's Fall From Grace

Martin is still in syndication on various networks. It originally aired on FOX from 1992 to 1997. Word spread that the actress walked away from the show amid allegations that Lawrence sexually harassed her. She came back but only under the condition that Lawrence couldn’t be on set when she taped her scenes.

Fans might remember the one-hour series finale that aired on May 1, 1997, which featured Gina moving to another city and Martin following her. Still, they were never in any scenes together.

Lawrence never really spoke on the allegations. Instead, he made a statement that he would focus on his movie career as he walked away from television.

The cast of Martin did reunite in 2016. However, it was not on fun terms. It was to celebrate the life of Tommy Ford, who played Tommy on the sitcom. He passed away suddenly after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen.

Campbell shared a snapshot of the other stars of the show -- Tichina Arnold, who played Pam, and Carl Anthony Payne II, who played Cole. She pointed out that Lawrence was there, just not in the photo.
