Corey Feldman's story almost took a turn for the worse. The actor who has been vocal against the abuse he endured as a child star was accused of sexual battery by an anonymous woman.

The impending case would have hurt everything the actor worked to achieve. However; the latest news may be the silver lining Feldman needs.

Corey Feldman's Case Gets Dropped

The LAPD has cleared Feldman in the complaint that was filed in 2017. Feldman's attorney made the announcement to the Blast on Monday after the decision was made.

"After a comprehensive investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office rejected the filing of a criminal complaint against my client Corey Feldman," his attorney stated.

The anonymous woman who made the complaint alleged that back in 2017, Feldman grabbed her butt. The woman filed the complaint on Jan. 8, 2018. Feldman had vehemently denied the allegation.

"LYING ABOUT SEXUAL HARASSMENT IS ALSO A CRIME OF PERJURY, & THOUGH WE MUST TAKE EACH CLAIM SERIOUSLY, WE ALSO CANT RUN AROUND MAKING UP THINGS, & THOSE MAKING FALSE CLAIMS MUST ALSO B INVESTIGATED," Feldman tweeted after the accusation was made.

Corey Feldman's Crusade Continues

Long before the allegations against Harvey Weinstein and others made headlines, Feldman had been adamant about the sex crimes that were hidden in Hollywood. The actor claimed that he and the late Corey Haim were sexually abused by powerful men in Hollywood and were victims of a pedophilia ring.

The actor also added that as he began to speak out about the molestation, he experienced difficulty in finding work in Hollywood and was threatened numerous times. Despite all this, the actor boldly named his abusers on the Dr. Oz show.

The first man, Jon Grissom, was an actor who starred in the films Dream a Little Dream and License to Drive with Feldman and was wanted by the police for a previous child molestation charge. The second man, Alphy Hoffman, is the son of the popular casting director, Bobby Hoffman, and the owner of Alphy's Soda Pop Club.

Last year, the actor created The Truth Campaign, a documentary series he planned to produce and film himself to go deeper into the allegations he made.

In 2017, the LAPD stated that they were looking into the accusations made by Feldman after discovering a tape from 1993 Michael Jackson case. However, it was decided that the allegations were passed the statute of limitation.
