Ancient Drama: These '90210' Stars Were 'At Each Other's Throats' On Set

Now that it’s been a few years since 90210 went off the air for good, the inside scoop on the behind-the-scenes drama has gone public.

The show aired on The CW for five seasons before it ended in 2013.

Annie vs. Naomi Gets Real

Actress AnnaLynne McCord, who played the wealthy mean girl Naomi Clark, dished on what it was like to really work with some of her co-stars including Tristan Wilds, Shenae Grimes, and Jessica Stroup. It looks like the characters played by McCord and Grimes, who portrayed good girl gone bad Annie Wilson, weren’t the only ones who were frenemies.

“Shenae and I, who played Annie, we were at each other’s throats for five years,” said McCord during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show Tuesday.

She added that it wasn’t until they took their final bow that they decided to bury the drama. “…the day before we wrapped, Shenae calls me and was like, 'Hey… I can’t believe it’s over.’ I’m like ‘B****?!’”

As for why they couldn’t seem to get it together, McCord, who appears to be nothing like her character on the show, took the blame for it all. She said during the time of filming that she battled with social anxiety. Thankfully, they were able to become friends despite their past.

“We hash it out the day before we wrap,” added McCord. “All five years, and I end up at her wedding in England and now we’re friends. We have dinner dates. It’s awesome, I love her.”

She confessed that she was mean-girl-spirited and does regret not getting along with the other female lead on the show.

As for the rest of the cast, she joked that she hates all of them but couldn’t keep back her laughter.

History With Meghan Markle?

Interestingly enough, Meghan Markle made an appearance on the show as a girl who was cheating with one of Clark’s boyfriends at the time. McCord said that she didn’t actually work with Markle on the episode.

Also in the interview, the Atlanta native talked about her new film, First We Take Brooklyn, which hits theaters Friday. She said they actually filmed in some areas where she used to live in New York City. She also said that since they filmed at night, they had quite the experience filming in alleyways. She revealed they taped for a little more than a month.
